i've been pretty busy this week, with visiting relatives and pink dot. i'll try to keep this up to date soon.

just wanted to give a shoutout to the most magical local event i have ever been to, and i just went to Mark Redito's live DJ performance, so that's saying a lot lmao. Pink Dot 2017 was just...the most beautiful thing. it just really warms my heart to see fellow Singaporeans being so vocal about the love of their lives. i remember eight years ago when pink dot and homosexuality garnered so much attention, i was with a girl in secret - and i was very young then, very cowardly, very easily influenced. my parents started to talk shit about homosexuality, and how it is against islam, and that these people are just sick. i broke up with her a week later ahaha, so seeing people being so open about their relationships when they wouldn't be in normal circumstances was just really heartwarming.

when i made Aces, all i wanted was to vent my frustration towards the society that hinders love, the society that misunderstands asexuality as being prude or boring, the society that puts their religion as a front to cover up their bigotry, and to be in Pink Dot, seeing so many people from this society open up and showing support-it's wonderful.

To Pink Dot 2018, to the elimination of Act 377A, to legalizing Gay Marriage, to One Nation, One People, One Singapore.

(also, this sketch is all i could come up with , haha have an Aces boboys going to Pink Dot while they're serving the nation)

wow, I googled Pink Dot & the pictures look amazing! :) It's so great that there are events like that! My own country legalised same-sex marriage just last week, so I'm hoping that someday soon there can be legal reforms in your country, too. <3
